Description
Airsoft, also known as Strike ball, is a dynamic tactical team sport that employs pneumatic equipment designed to closely mimic real combat weaponry. Players utilize a range of firearms, including rifles, sub-machine guns, and pistols, referred to as “airsoft guns.” These guns propel small 6 mm plastic balls with precision and force. The safety of the game is paramount, contingent upon strict adherence to instructions outlined by a certified instructor before gameplay begins.
Participants are equipped with protective camouflage attire and facial masks to ensure their safety during matches. The projectiles from airsoft guns can reach speeds of up to 150 meters per second, underscoring the vital importance of following the provided guidelines to prevent any potential mishaps.
The fundamental tenets of the game in airsoft revolve around honesty and mutual respect among adversaries. Notably distinct from paintball, players don’t display visible paint marks upon being hit, nor does the sport employ the visual indicators of laser tag. Instead, when a player is struck by an airsoft ball in accordance with the scripted rules, they are considered “stricken.” The choice to either exit the game or continue participating rests solely upon the sportsmanship of the player and their opponent.
